Re: Various Sound Card Test Reports
Hello,
I would like to know specific characteristics of an ideal sound card to which MI capability would be fully realized. I am not asking for a sound card product recommendation (unless you would like to make one). When I shop for a new sound card for MI3.5 I will compare best performance attributes based on your order of priority of specific sound card operating parameters and ideal specifications as well as any PC workstation CPU and memory capabilities if applicable.
I have old version MI 2.1. I will upgrade to v3.5 soon.
thank you, cliff

Re: Various Sound Card Test Reports
An ideal sound would have ultra flat frequency response from just above 0Hz to 1/2 of its sampling rate, ultra low noise level, ultra low THD, IMD, Crosstalk. The max. sampling rate is at least 192kHz, sampling bit resolution 24bits or above. The input and output interfaces of the sound card should fit your application.
